Early Years
3 months - 5 years+
The school adopts the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) from Creche to the end of their Reception year.Seesaw is a secure online Learning Journal for families which we use in the Early Years Foundation Stage to build up a record of children’s experiences during their time with us. This system allows us to work with parents to share information and record children’s play and learning inside and outside the classroom. -
Primary
5 years+-11 years+
In Key Stages 1 and 2, our children engage with the English National Curriculum. At the end of Year 6, they take the (CAT 4) GL assessments. Other statutory assessments they do include the GL baseline and progress assessments as well as our whole-school teacher assessments..
Children continue learning French which they commenced from Early Years alongside specialist subjects such as Music, Art, PE, Swimming and Home economics.
We are keen on the holistic development of the child and lay emphasis on this by offering Personal, Social and Health Education as a subject once each week, to compliment our robust curriculum content.
To help reinforce concepts taught in school, children are assigned daily homework as well as online tasks through the Google Classroom.

Secondary
11 years+-16 years+
Our secondary school curriculum seeks to foster deep learning. Using objectives from the British National Curriculum and the Cambridge Curriculum our students are encouraged to pursue academic excellence while developing themselves in other non-academic areas of interest. At the end of KS3, they receive focused guidance as they choose their preferred subjects in preparation for the Cambridge IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 11.
Our students engage in a wide range of activities to apply their learning practically through fieldwork, excursions, internships as well as participation in national and international competitions. They are also encouraged to develop their leadership skills through programmes such as the International Award for Young People In Nigeria (Duke of Edinburgh Award).
- At LPSS, we nuture our children from 3months through to 16 years+. We believe education should be broad and balanced. That is why in addition to the core academice offerings in Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities, we include Sports, Music, Art, Technology and several Languages withing our curriculum. The school day begins at 8am with a short break around 10am and a longer lunch break just after 12pm. School closes at 2:40pm with the option of an after school club till 3:45pm. We provide a wide range of after school clubs for all ages so everyone can develop their interests.
